Tan Sri Robert Phang, 71, is a founder and chairman of the Social Care Foundation.He also is a Panel Commissioner of Malaysia Anti-Crime Commission and executive council member of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation. He is also The President Of The Federation Of Malaysia Peng Clan Association.
A known social workers, philanthropist, corruption and crime fighter. Tan Sri Robert Phang helping the sick and needy people since 1984. He have donated computers to various schools in Sabah, Sarawak, Pahang and Kedah and also donated Air Treatment System (Air Purifier) to various Hemodialysis Centres in the Klang Valley for patients seeking treatment in the centres. Tan Sri Robert Phang contributed towards many Hole-In-The Heart patients to enable them to pay for their operations.
Tan Sri Datuk Robert Phang’s best deeds include looking after the police officer’s family who was killed in the line of duty. He has personally donated funds and raised funds for the families of the late Police Officers.
Tan Sri Robert Phang greatest challenge happened on 5th October 2005, when he alone rescued two KPMG accountants who have been held in Sorowoko, Makassar, Sulawesi for 50 days.
Tan Sri Datuk Robert Phang is currently involved in the Prison Ministry – giving talks to the in-mates regarding their rehabilitation, motivation and boosting their morale to prepare them when they rejoin the society.
Tan Sri Robert Phang is a man who does not shy away from publicity surrounding his charitable acts. If anything, he welcomes it. Some might see it as doing charity to generate publicity for oneself, but Tan Sri Robert Phang is not bothered by such thought.
